Angler's Lake & Steak has been feeding Eureka Springs since the days of roadside diners and hand-painted signs. Same spot, same spirit — just better every decade.

Harold and Marion Ackerman built this place from scratch as a roadside diner right here on US-62. Decades of different owners came and went, but the one constant was a warm welcome and a good plate of food.

Frank Green Jr. bought the shuttered property and reopened it on July 3, 2018, with his niece Khristy by his side. Five years later, Khristy & Kevin bought Angler's from Frank, continuing the legacy of ownership within the family. Today, Khristy and Kevin run Angler's with the help of their two sons, Ryan and Patrick, as well as Khristy's brother, Robert Samuelson Jr. It is truly a family affair at Angler's, with Frank occasionally popping back in on super busy weekends to help out with hosting.

Service runs through generations of the family behind Angler's. During World War II, Arkansas native Frank Green joined the U.S. Navy at just 15 years old. His older brothers, Wilburn and Robert, had already enlisted, and he did not want to be left behind. His father claimed he was over 16 so he could enlist. All three brothers survived the war. Frank came home with three Bronze Stars and hearing in only one ear. That commitment to service continued with the next generation. Khristy's mother, Sharon Green, enlisted in the Navy as a WAVE during the Vietnam War. Khristy's father, Robert Ray Samuelson, and her brother, Robert Samuelson Jr., served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Khristy followed in her family's footsteps, joining the Navy as a third-generation Navy service member. She and Kevin both served in Naval Intelligence during the Gulf War. Khristy completed seven years of active-duty service, while Kevin retired after 21 years with the rank of Chief. The family's story is also deeply rooted in Eureka Springs. They moved here in the early 1960s and have owned businesses in the community ever since. Their history of service, resilience, and family connection is part of the story Angler's carries forward today. Stop by the bar to see the family history displayed on the wall.
